A poem: Moonshine

She went to bed that night
With the moonlight kissing her softly
Wishing for her mind to feel a little lighter in the morning
Dreaming for her soul to be freer by sunrise

She fell asleep that night
With sparkles of insight looming at the surface
Hoping to remember the following day
What it felt like to surrender

She lets the weight of her head rest easily
She lets the weight of her body fall completely
Into the bed
Into the earth

Moonshine, stay for a little while longer
Moonshine, let your cool night‘s air blow away my heaviness

Moonshine, be there space in the shadow
Moonshine, be there trust in the dark
