a poem: in search for safe love

letting myself fall into you
forgetting about time & place
that’s what I long to do

who are you?
where are you?
how do I know it’s you if I ever find you?

searching for safe love
for someone who won’t break my heart
for someone who will keep it safe

I imagine
us dancing at night with closed eyes
expressing ourselves to one another
with uninhibited moves of our bodies
allowing ourselves to be one
one with the music, the moonlight
one with ourselves, one with one another

deep within me lays the yearning
to find and hold you
to cherish moments of love and presence
in the purest, most beautiful way
being free with you, care free

-your tiny woman in a giant world

post scriptum: Inspired by the fascinating, talented artist and singer, Rea Garvey’s new album “Neon”.
