Thursday-How-To: better posture, stronger you

We almost got through the week, folks. Two days left until the weekend festivities begin. Long breakfast coffee hours, delicious workouts that flatter our souls and beautiful nature views, that is. But before we call it a work week, let’s remind ourselves how much importance our posture holds regarding its influence on our moods and overall wellbeing. A bad mood shows in a lousy posture, but a good posture can also lighten up your mood! That’s why I decided on sharing all day every day tips for improving your posture — I hope they make you feel lightened up, confident and beautiful!

» tug your tailbone in — it activates improves the muscles in your belly, butt, upper legs and back
» activate your core — this is always a good idea
» draw your shoulders back and down — feeling better already, right?
» keep your head up, aligning with your spine — the world looks better looking up
» unclinch your jaw — a tense jaw results in a tense neck which ultimately effects your head and your shoulders and back
» when sitting: press your inner thighs together every now and then to build up that extra strength — it simplifies the act of sitting straight for long hours
» stretch it aaall out — blood flow, stretching fascia area and muscles releases built-up tension
» indulge in easy yoga poses throughout the day — like mountain pose or easy twists

When following the upper tips, feel the strength you build up inside of you, the energy you create that flows through your whole body. The heat in the muscles as a result activates fat-burning and makes for your blood to flow through your body. Especially those of you who have 9-to-5 jobs (like I do) will feel it’s what your body desperately needed. Also, other than that: try to stand up and stretch every once in a while.

If you have a tip or two to add to this list, please feel free to do so in the comments’ section below 🙂

Happy Thursday, dears! x
